Obituary for April Lee Conroy Smith
April Lee Conroy Smith, 58, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022. A celebration of her life will be held on a later date.
April was born on April 26, 1964, in Milford, Connecticut, to Mr. John Conroy and Mrs. Jean McCann Barnes. She was employed with Barefoot Beach Resort in Indian Shores, Florida, where she was the office manager. April loved her family, but her world was her son his wife and her precious granddaughter that made her laugh with her wittiness and sense of humor (April was convinced she got from her). She will be missed by all who knew her.
April was preceded in death by both her parents; her stepfather, Kenneth Miller; grandparents, Tom and Robbie Russell; and her sister, Cheryl Mcleod.
April is survived by her son, David Ray Rickman (Zan); her granddaughter, Sophia Rickman of Macon; sisters, Crystal Hopkins (Dawson) of Lizella, Kimberly Cochran ( John Bell) of Centerville, Colleen Montgomery (Ronald) of Springhill, FL, Kelley Scott (Derek) of Hudson, FL; brother, Ricky Miller (Melody) Davenport, FL; brother-in-law, Jimmy McLeod of Byron; stepmother, Connie Miller of Davenport, FL; niece, Nicole Reeves of Milledgeville; nephew, Kyle McLeod of Byron; her adopted family and part time caregiver, Melissa Knighten (Jay) and Jax; her two precious fur babies Roscoe and Muffy; her work family in Florida; and the many friends that she dearly loved.
