Obituary for Belle Hall Miller

Belle Hall Miller, 96, of Lizella, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, August 30, 2022. The family will greet friends on Friday, September 2, at 10:00 AM in the family life center of Lizella United Methodist Church. A celebration of Mrs. Miller’s life will start at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary, with Reverend, Jay Reppert officiating. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest in the Lizella Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born on May 15, 1926, in Vidalia, Georgia, to the late Mr. John Chess Hall and Mrs. Zannie Kea Hall. She retired from Friedman’s Jewelers, after several years of service. Mrs. Miller was a member of Lizella United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for over 40 years. She kept a list of the members of the church and called each and every one of them on their birthdays and anniversaries.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, John Charles Miller and she out lived four of her five children. Gone but not forgotten are her two sons, Shorty Miller and Chester Miller; daughters, Betty Jo Reed and Dorothy Bunch; grandsons, Michael Miller and Kevin Miller; her only granddaughter, Christy Broadnax; brothers, John Hall, Randy Hall, and Paul Hall; and sister, Edna Sandefur.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Eddie Miller (Pam); five grandsons; and several great-grandchildren; sister, Mae Urban; and several nieces and nephews. She will especially be missed by her special grandson, Charley Rice, who took such great care of her for many years.
