Obituary for Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Barker

Benjamin Franklin “Frank” Barker, 84, of Byron, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Navicent Peach Hospital in Byron, Georgia. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Frank retired in 1996 from Armstrong World Industries after 40 years of employment.
He was the youngest of 6 siblings and was preceded in death by his mother; Mary Lizzie Davis Barker, father; Joseph P. Barker, brothers; Willie Joe Barker (Pauline), Johnny Barker (Ruth), Eugene Barker (Esther), Lewis Barker (Shelvie) and sister Bessie Hanson (GW).
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Tyson Barker. Sons Randy Barker (Sharie), Jay Barker (Janna). Grandchildren; Keith Barker (Lauren), Brooke Barker, Amy Bugg (Russell), Blake Barker, and Ava Barker. Great Grandchildren; Easton and Emma Barker as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will greet friends Monday, February 28, 2022, at FairHaven Funeral Home from 7:00-8:30 p.m. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Oaklawn Cemetery in Fort Valley. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will officiate.
