Beverly June Harper Pettis, 87, of Macon, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, she was the daughter of the late Silas Leon Harper and Lois Edna Schaffer Harper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vassar Lee Pettis, and siblings, Ann Tollison, Ruby Ballard, Shelby Barbee, Wanda Pelt, and Alfred Harper.
Mrs. Pettis was a member of Westfield Baptist Church, was a waitress for Finchers’ Bar B Que and The Pig and a daycare worker with Cross Keys Day Care.
She is survived by her children, Randy Lee Pettis (Merna), Patricia Ann DeKalb, and Jeffrey Glenn Pettis(Wanda), grandchildren, Michael Pelt, Mitchell Pelt, Randy Pettis, Jr. Tonya Cobb, Melissa Helms, and Will Pettis and Eleven great grandchildren.
