Bobbie Ann Barefoot Taylor, 87, of Lizella, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 11, in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Pastor Rick McQueen officiating. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Thursday, March 10, at FairHaven Funeral Home.
Ms. Taylor was born on January 29, 1935, in Cordele, Georgia, to the late Homer Barefoot and Claudia Powell Barefoot. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Ms. Taylor had a big heart; she liked everyone she met. She spent much of her time cooking and feeding people. Ms. Taylor was lady of many names, some of her favorites were nanny, grandmother, and granny. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Ms. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Willard Truman “Doc” Taylor, Sr. and daughter, Cynthia Annett “Sandy” Newberry.
Ms. Taylor is survived by her children, Bobbie Faye Floyd (Robert), Willard Truman “Bub” Taylor, Jr. (Debra), Brenda Sue McQueen (Rick), Paul Wade Taylor, Sr., William Terrell Taylor (Melissa), and Samuel “Sambo” Scott Taylor, Sr.; grandchildren, Donnie Ray “Woody” Wood, Angela Nichole Mullis, Dawn Musgrove, Crystal Woodard, Felicia Cain, Eric McQueen, Rebecca Barton, Wade Taylor, William Taylor, April Taylor, Tori Shaver, Spencer Taylor, Mathew Taylor, Jonathan Taylor, Mindi Ratterree, Samuel Scott “Taylor” Taylor, Jr., Shane Newberry, and Scott Newberry; and a multitude of great-grandchildren.
