Obituary for Carol Obenauf (Keen)
Carol Keen Obenauf, 85, of Lizella, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. A graveside service to honor her life, will be held on Friday, August 19, at 11:00 AM in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Reverend, Jay Reppert officiating.
Mrs. Obenauf was born on March 10, 1937, in Soperton, Georgia, to the late Mr. Tillman Keen and Gladys Tobler Keen. She was a faithful member of Lizella United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and was heavily involved when able. Mrs. Obenauf was a homemaker, who loved to cook and was an avid reader. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mama, nanny, and sister.
Mrs. Obenauf was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Lloyd Obenauf; brother, Phil Keen; sister-in-law, Sandra Keen; and brother-in-law, Otis Gordon.
Left to cherish Mrs. Obenauf’s memory are her three sons, Buddy Obenauf (Debra), Mark Obenauf (Amanda), and Neil Obenauf (Tammy); sisters, Glenda Mosely (David) and Margie Gordon; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests donations be made in Mrs. Obenauf’s honor to: Lizella United Methodist Church, 2920 South Lizella Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052.
