Charles Edward “Ed” Fordham, Sr., 72, of Macon, Ga, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023, at 1:00pm at Hardison Baptist Church, in Byron. Immediately following, Ed will be laid to rest at Snow Hill Cemetery in Cadwell, Georgia. The family will have a time of visitation Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home.

Ed was born on February 7, 1951, in Dublin, Georgia to the late Mr. Charles Fordham and Mrs. Willean Maddox Fordham.

Ed is preceded in death by Parents Charles Fordham and Willean Maddox, Fordham, Sister Linda Fordham Smallwood, Grandchildren Charles Edward Fordham III “Trey”, and Bella Mae Craft.

Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 32 years, Mrs. Jimmi Carter Fordham; Daughter, Gina Fordham Baggett (Richard); Sons: Andy Fordham (Lisa), Charlie Fordham (April), Ken Craft, and Micah Craft (Kristy). Ed also left behind 15 grandchildren, one great grandchild; Brother John Fordham (Karen), Sisters: Charlene Fordham Kent (Glenn) and Diane Fordham Glacken (Shawn); Brother-in-Law Jerry Melton (Flo); Sister-in-Law Faye Murrell; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ed began his 52-year plumbing career at the age of 17, working with Sydney Pyles Plumbing. Later in life, he owned and operated his own plumbing business in Rabun County, Georgia. Ed was passionate about plumbing and a master of his craft. Not only was it his love of the job but his love for the relationships he made with every customer.
