Charles M. Jones, US Army (Ret) 81, of Byron, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022. Funeral services with military honors will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Private family committal service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Georgia Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville. The family will have a time of visitation on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, he was the son of the late T. Frank Jones and Dorothy N. Coleman Jones. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jones and brothers Frank Jones and J.C. Jones.
Mr. Jones was a member of the First Assembly of God in Warner Robins; he was a 32-degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and a Shriner. He was a retired First Sargent from the US Army, was a life member of the DAV and Vietnam Veterans. Mr. Jones enjoyed cars, being a member of the National Corvette Museum, Perry Corvette Club #2, and the Flag City Mustang Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bryant Jones, Son, Dale Jones (Brenda), Jonathan Lowman, Stepdaughters, Cindy (Al) and Robin Hayes (Mike) and grandson, Isaiah Jones.
