Obituary for Charlotte Gill Mixon

Charlotte Gill Mixon, 96, of Macon, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17, 2021. A private graveside service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Reverend Joe Bowker officiating. At the completion of the service, a recording of the service will be on Facebook at FairHaven Funeral Home- Macon to view.
She was the daughter of Ernest Gill, Sr. and Effie Mae McKinney Gill and was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A Mixon, Brothers; Ernest Gill, Jr. and Ben Gill. Great grandson, Oliver Blevins.
Charlotte’s working career began as a secretary in a doctor’s office and later floor secretary at Macon Hospital, Georgia Baptist Hospital in Decatur, Georgia and later at Coliseum Park Hospital from which she retired in 1987. After that, she loved being a homemaker and working in her yard with flowers. She was devoted to family, and to Berean Baptist Church, and was loved by each one.
Charlotte is survived by her three daughters; Judy Mims of Stone Mountain, Paulette Hardison and Rita Limbaugh of Macon. Also, by her sister, Bobbie Nell Williams of Forsyth. Brother-in-law; Hubert Thompson of Milledgeville. 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. Several nieces and nephews.
