Obituary for Clinton Harold Ford

Clinton “Clint” Harold Ford, 72, of Snellville, GA passed suddenly on January 30, 2021.
Clint is survived by his fiancé, Vesta Whisler, of Centerville, GA; his daughter, Alicia Ford Munoz of Tucker, GA; his son, Peren Ford (Ashley) of Suwanee, GA; and his son, Joshua Ford of Duluth, GA; his sister Linda Ford of Fort Myers, FL; his brother Patrick Ford (Karen) of Norcross, GA; his sister Meg Ford Alexander of Auburn, AL; former spouse, Deborah Ford; grandchildren Juan Munoz, Daniel Munoz, and Julie Ford; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Firstborn to his parents, Harold and Lee Ford, in Atlanta, Georgia on April 8, 1948, Clint graduated from Clarkston High School (Stone Mountain, GA) in 1966 and earned a Business Degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1971.
Clint, a devoted father and grandfather, was known for his quick-witted humor and genius ability to fix absolutely anything from vehicles to machinery. He was self-employed in carpentry and home repairs and generously offered his time and energy to help family and friends in need. He also cared very much about the environment and recycling years before most others seemed to give it much thought.
Clint attended both Houston Church/Warner Robins and Gwinnett Church/Sugar Hill; hiked with Macon Outdoors; took ballroom dance lessons at All About Ballroom, USA Dance, and Howard Community Center; was just learning to play the saxophone, enjoyed riding his bike on the beach, and was a movie aficionado.
A gathering of family and friends is planned for Sunday, February 7, 2021, @ 1 p.m. EST at Macon Evangelistic Church, 5399 Hartley Bridge Rd., Macon, Georgia 31216. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association https://www.heart.org/en/get-involved/ways-to-give, or the Red Cross https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation.html/, saving grace for Clint’s father, a WWII POW, or register to become an organ donor at www.organdonor.gov, in honor of Clint who helped four people improve their lives.
