Obituary for Douglas Lamar Hardy
Douglas Lamar Hardy, age 70, from Byron Ga passed peacefully at his residence on September 17, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 21st at 2:00pm in the chapel at FairHaven Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Sizemore officiating. Immediately following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Roberta City Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Laurie Hardy, and sister Sheila Sears. He was a dedicated family man and avid fisherman. Douglas served in the United States Army. He retired, after 30 years from the Georgia Academy for the Blind.
Left to cherish his memory are his precious wife of 48 years, Regina Hardy; his son Brian (Jessica) Hardy of Byron, GA; his brother Tim (Louanne) Hardy of Macon, GA; and sister Sharon Wigham of TN; several nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Due to Covid 19, the family graciously requests those attending to please wear a mask for the safety of everyone in attendance.
