Obituary for Edward Ovin Bramlett

Edward Ovin Bramlett, age 77, of Macon, Georgia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Piedmont Macon Hospital surrounded by his family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Lighthouse Baptist Church 1101 Dunbar Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093. The family will receive friends at 5:30pm, and service will begin at 6:00pm.
Officiated by Senior Pastor, Tim Sizemore and Pastor Emeritus Hershel Sizemore.

Edward was born in Greensboro, Georgia, on Saturday, October 7, 1944, to the late William Corbett Bramlett and Bonnie Crane Bramlett. He graduated high school in June of 1960 from Fordson High and later enlisted in the US Army. After serving his country he attended Mercer University from 1965-67 he then went on to Michigan Technological University where he graduated with honors and received a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoyed family time and serving people in any way he could. Somehow, he always found a way to meet the needs of others. He was a founding member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Edward, Edd, Eddie as he was known, was also an artist, who enjoyed songwriting and singing, as well as playing musical instruments such as the guitar (his favorite instrument), piano and the violin. He was an extraordinary self-taught musician. He was truly our family "Virtuoso". His hobbies when he wasn't writing, singing, or playing music were weightlifting (as a young man), reading, crossword puzzles, electronics, and going to dinner and the movies as a group with family and friends or just his “beautiful bride” as he would say. He was a devoted Waffle House patron who could strike up a conversation with anyone. Edward was well respected and loved by so many and will be missed immensely.

Edward is survived by his wife, Beth May Bramlett; children, Karen (John) Zavicar, Nathan (Donna) Bramlett, Veronica (Kim) Bedingfield, Eddie (Tina) Bramlett, Rhonda Bramlett, Michele Spivey, Kristen (Mitch) Norris, Lillith Anderson, Madison Muller; brothers, Bill Bramlett (Peggy), Ronnie Bramlett, sister, Carole Sweeney (Bill); grandchildren, Sarah Zemaitis (Tim), Courtney Kosta (Brandon), John Zavicar IV (Breanna), Mary Perry (Ryan); Kelsi O’Quinn (Mark), Emily Bramlett, Kim Bedingfield (Marjorie), Ashley Smith (Chris), Trae Bedingfield, Courtney Bramlett, Savannah Bramlett, Heather Bramlett, Chloe Bramlett, Paige Stanley, Makayla Bramlett, Hunter Spivey, Taylor Spivey, and 31 great grandchildren.

Edward is preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Bramlett Lowery, Brother-in-law, Bill Sweeney, Son-in-law, Kim Bedingfield, and grandson, Nathaniel Bedingfield.
