Jacob Brooks Wells, 80, of Macon, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 at 12 noon at Porterfield Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Fitzgerald, Georgia at 4:00 pm. Pastor Richard Jacobs and Pastor Chris Dotson will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert Theo Wells and Annie Young Wells. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lynda McCook Wells and a son, Steven Craig Wells.
Mr. Wells was a member of the Porterfield Baptist Church where he attended the Mens Believers Sunday School Class and was extremely dedicated to his church. He retired as a supervisor with Graphic Packaging. He loved doing for others and working in the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Kafka Wells, children, Keith Wells(Dixie), Phil Wells(Cristi), and Jeff Wells. Step Children, Sharon Andrews(Derrick) and Michelle Edwards. Eight grandchildren, Siblings, Opal Pridgen(Junior), Junior Wells(Colleen), Betty Jean Braswell(Earl), JoAnn Griffin, and Danny Wells(Denise).
