James Richard Hardin, 76, of Knoxville, Georgia passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12 Noon in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family will have a time of visitation on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. till service time in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, he was the son of the late James Emmett Hardin and Mary John Treadwell Hardin. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He grew up working Construction in the Macon area with his dad James Emmett Hardin. He owned and operated The Antique Iron Art. James was probably known to most for his auto body work in Macon and telling stories like no other. His family and friends will miss him greatly, especially listening to all his lavish stories.
James was preceded in death by his son; William Reginald Hardin, Sister; Melissa Gregory Hardin and nephew, William Brad Walsh.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Martha Hardin. Grandson; Dustin Ryan Hardin. Brother; Jerry Mark Hardin, and two nephews; David Walsh, Jr. and Mark Hardin. As well as one niece, Stephanie Malandrino.
