Obituary for Earl Lineberger
James Earl Lineberger, 74, of Lizella, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023. A celebration of Earl’s life will be held on Thursday, January 5, at 11:00 am in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend, Micah Carr officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
Earl was born on September 29, 1948, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Weyman Merrill Lineberger and Mrs. Mabel Merlene Hardy Lineberger. He was a lifetime member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and faithfully served as a Gideon. Earl worked as a construction contractor, working many years at Murphey Taylor and Ellis. He was a generous man, who loved to fish, farm, and take care of his cows.
Earl was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Lineberger.
Earl is survived by his wife, Janice Lineberger; sister, Linda Long; brothers, Larry Lineberger (Lori), Wayne Lineberger (Marsha), and Windell Lineberger (Leila); stepchildren, Donya Carter (Daniel), Jennifer Huffman (Kevin), Vic Holmes (Stephanie), Jennifer Lawrence (Patrick), Jason Bowden (Lindsey), and Brittany Martin (Luke); and grandchildren, Holly Odom (Tyler), Matthew Carter, Peyton Carter, Matt Huffman, Bailey Holmes, Hunter Bowden, Peyton Bowden, and Rylan Martin.
