Jane Beall Evans passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023. She was born on August 13, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Mark Beall Evans and Elma “Pat” Bowen Evans. A native of Atlanta/ Dekalb County, she graduated from Murphy High School in 1953 and the University of Georgia in 1957. While at the University she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity and became a true diehard Georgia Bulldog Fan. She was a retired Liaison between Marketing and Computer Services, primarily reservations from Delta Air Lines in 1992 after 35 years of service. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. She was also a charter member of Fort Peachtree Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of Chapter 18, United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Services will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 in Salem Methodist Cemetery in Monroe County, Georgia. Reverend Nolan Jackson Sr. will officiate.
She is survived by her cousins, Larry and Nancy Finney, Linda and Larry Peters, Ben and Ann Finney, all of Macon; Karen Bowen of North Palm Beach, Florida, Lois Bowen Hale of Coconut Grove, Florida, and Melissa English of Forsyth; Special Friends, Wanda Smith of Cropwell, Alabama, Annette Loudermilk of Blue Ridge, Ga and Tom Martel.
In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Belmont Baptist Church, 3275 Iris Drive Conyers, Georgia 30013.
