Obituary for Jewel Amason

Jewel D. Tucker Amason, 77, of Macon, Georgia and most recently of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 27, 1943, to the late George and Westeen Tucker.
Jewel was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Macon, GA. During her time in Cleveland, she enjoyed the sermons held and the sharing of the gospel at Morningside of Cleveland where she resided.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband James T. Amason, her son, Dennis L. Trotter, brothers, W.T. Tucker, George Tucker, Jr., Jesse Tucker, Westly Tucker and Clarence Tucker and sister Juanita Barfield; and grandson-in-law, Stephen Whitmire.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Johnny Trotter (Melanie), William Trotter (Angie) and Roger Trotter (Brooke) all of Cleveland, TN. Her grandchildren, Johnny Trotter, Amanda Lee (Clint), Kim Pearson (Ronnie), April Miles (Thomas), Amy Whitmire, Amber Terrell (Steven), Christina Garren (Dave), Roger Lee Morrison, William Trotter, all of Cleveland, TN, Jewel Parker (Joshua) of Cochran, Georgia and Nikki Trotter of Macon, GA, 24 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as her sisters, Agnes Comer of Macon, GA, Pat Varga (Peter) of South Carolina and Bernice Sams of Lizella, GA along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends, especially the ones at Morningside of Cleveland.
A Celebration of Jewel’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Fairhaven Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service time. Immediately following the service, Jewel will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
