Jody Walker, 54, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021. He was diagnosed with ALS in April 2020. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. The family plans to hold a Memorial Service at a later date.

Jody was the grandson of the late Ezma and Rufus Ashley of Macon and the late Sara and J.D. Walker of Thomaston.

Jody graduated from Southwest High School and served with the U.S. Marines in Guam. He later attended Central Georgia Technical College.

He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Gail Ashley Walker; siblings, Tonya Williams (Keith), David (Kathy), and Clay (Angel); 5 nephews, Keith, Derek, Dustin, Seth, and Joe; 2 nieces, Kasey Gail and Sara; as well as several cousins, Aunts, and Uncles. He is also survived by special friends to Jody and our family, Janis Bradfield and her mother, Mrs. Mary.

It is with great sadness that we lost Jody to this terrible disease. The family asks that instead of flowers, please contribute to the ALS Association in hope of one day a cure so no one will lose a loved one, like our son, to such a quick and painful death.
