John Edward Christian, 57, of Macon, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
Johnny’s family will greet friends on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home.
Johnny was born on September 9, 1964, in Grants, New Mexico, to the late John Thomas Christian and Gwendolyn Harris Christian. Retired from Riverwood International, where he worked as machine operator. Johnny enjoyed a lifelong passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and his treasured gun and knife collections
Johnny was a “gentle giant”, kind and caring with an underlying determination and will. In 2008, Johnny was a victim of a severe motorcycle accident leaving him disabled. Johnny suffered from loss of limb, vision impairment, chronic heart, and kidney issues and most recently a diagnosis of Leukemia. To his family and friends, Johnny seemed immortal, cheating death time and time again. He was a fighter, accepted the hand he was dealt and although his body was severely broken his spirit never was. What an inspiration he was to all who knew and loved him and his million-dollar smile.
2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” …
Left to cherish Johnny’s memory are his sisters, Gigi Christian Middleton of Lizella, Katherine Wade of Fitzgerald, Martha Lynn Baxter of Corsicana, Texas and several loved and adored nieces, nephews, and cousins.
