Obituary for John William Jones
John William Jones, 94, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M – 2:00 P.M for a time of visitation. Immediately following, Mr. Jones will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Lee Griffin will officiate.
Mr. Jones was born in Crisp County, Georgia to the late Gus and Pearlie Powell Jones. He was avid in his faith and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was a Korean War veteran, serving in the United States Army and retired from Riverwood/Graphic Packaging in Macon.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Inez Westbrook Jones.
Left to cherish his memory are his children; David Jones (Pam), and Larry Jones (Penny), sister; Wilma Jones Cleveland, 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
