Obituary for John Ashley White Jr.
John Ashley White, Jr., age 83, of Macon, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Mikado Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
John was born on Tuesday, February 28, 1939, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was retired Civil Service from Robins Air Force Base. John was a member of Mikado Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and dedicated fan of the University of Georgia and Atlanta Braves. John loved his family and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
John was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl White; son, John White, III; daughter, Allison White; and parents, John Ashley White, Sr. and Agnes Virginia Ketterbaugh White.
John is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Donna Stokes White; son, Scott White (Karen); grandchildren, Kane White (Callie), Ashley White, Michelle Burch (Jonathon), Aaron Tomberlin (Ryan McKinney); great-grandchildren, Palmer White, Murphy Tomerlin; brothers, Bill White (Carolyn), Ted White (Jewel); daughter-in-law, Connie White and numerous nieces and nephews.
