Obituary for Kenneth Ray Burns

Kenneth Ray Burns, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 8, 2021. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Mark Hudgins will officiate, and Mr. Johnathan Green will provide the music.
Kenneth was born on August 8, 1936 in Lipan, Texas to the late Elmer Jackson and Estalee Burns. He proudly served our country in the United States Army in the 49th Armored Division. After his time in the service, Kenneth began a career as a Store Manager for TG&Y stores. His job led him to several different states, traveling to different stores. Kenneth and his wife Vada had many job adventures during this time. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, and attended games whenever possible. One of his greatest joys in life was music, especially singing, and quartets. Kenneth was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family. His wife of 64 years; Vada Burns. Children: Kenneth Neil Burns (Michelle), Peggy Sue Burgamy (Timothy) and Julie Ann Burns. Grandchildren: Toni Burns and Bobby Burgamy. Great grandchildren: Braylen Burgamy, Hollis Burgamy, Piper Burns, Juliette Burns, and Athena Burns. Brothers; Billy Burns (Devona) and Glen Burns (Dottie). Sister in law; Anna Parry and nephew; Curry Perkins.
