Obituary for LaVerne Brewer (Newberry)
Laverne Newberry Brewer, 84, of Macon, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with her grandson, Reverend Taylor Carter officiating. Immediately following, Mrs. Brewer will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Brewer was born on January 11, 1938, in Macon, to the late Charles and Dora Newberry. She retired from Keebler where she worked in production. Mrs. Brewer attended Fellowship Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her loving husband; George Russell “Buddy” Brewer.
She is survived by her children; Janet Brewer Fletcher (Steve), Larry Russell Brewer (Kim), and Kathy Carter (Steve), Grandchildren; Amy Walker Cox (Rodney), Holly Walker Baxter, Tyler Steven Carter (Julie), and Taylor William Carter (Amanda). Great Grandchildren; Clay Humphrey, Bailey Baxter, Maci Ann Carter, Tate Carter, Lane Carter, Brantley Carter, and Beau Carter.
