Obituary for Margaret H. Price

Margaret Horton Price, 93, of Byron, Ga, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Margaret was born April 5, 1929, to Ellis & Leola Horton in Macon, GA. Margaret was one of four children. She lived a wonderful childhood making many memories in the historic Payne City in Macon. She loved to tell everyone all about growing up there and the many memories she made.

Margaret married her loving husband, Warren R. Price, Jr. (US Army Vet/GA NATL GUARD) in June over 70 years ago. They met at Grady Morgan Sports Complex (Payne City, GA) in the late 1940’s, and it was love at first sight. Together they built a house from top to bottom, went on various road trips, had four children and established Price Hill where her loving family will always remember and cherish her memories. Margaret loved to attend Army reunions with her husband and all the friends they had made from when Warren served. She loved having her family over to visit and relished in all of her many grandchildren.

Margaret is preceded in death by her loving parents, siblings, a great-grandson, nieces and nephews.

Left to remember her precious self & carry on her legacy and traditions are her loving and devoted husband of 71 years, Warren R. Price (JR). Her four beautiful children, Patricia (Ken) Railey, Michael (Sandy) Price, Randall (Debora) Price, and Kim (Bodie) Pilcher. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren and several great nieces & nephews.

There are no amount of words that will ever be enough to describe what a light she was to this world. We will remember her in every single aspect of our lives. She left an incredible mark on this world, and she will never be forgotten. She lived a fulfilling 93 years, and we can only hope to be as blessed as she was in our own lives.
