Obituary for Marilyn Jean Shelley (Blomstrom)
Marilyn “Jean” Blomstrom Shelley, 84, of Macon crossed the Gates of Heaven on Sunday, July 3, 2022.
Mrs. Shelley was born on August 22, 1937, in Springfield, Ma. to the late Herbert C. and Lillian H. Blomstrom. She graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield, Ma in 1955. She met and married Billy L. Shelley in 1957.
Mrs. Shelley was passionately involved in bowling while living in Louisiana and after moving to Ga. She was a member of the Macon Bowling community for a number of years until her health declined. She also enjoyed movies on the Hallmark and Lifetime channels as well as listening to the Gaither’s Gospel music.
Left to cherish her memory is the loving family. Her daughter, Lynne Shelley (Charlotte) of Macon; her sister, Barbara Robertson of Westfield, Ma. and a brother-in-law, Jack Shelley (Mary Ann) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will greet friends on Thursday July 7th from 10 am until 11am with a chapel service beginning at 11am. Immediately following the services, Mrs. Shelley will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.
