Obituary for Marsha Holt Moneyhan (Holt)

Marsha Rebecca (Holt) Moneyhan passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 73 in Macon, Georgia. The viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at FairHaven Funeral Home. Her service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 21, 2022 and interment will follow at 2:00pm at Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle, Ga.

Marsha was born on February 23, 1948, in Fitzgerald, Ga. Her late parents Ophelia Curtis Holt Jr. and Martha Louise Chapman Holt Johnson and her twin brothers, Ronald James Holt Sr. (late) and Donald Curtis Holt loved her dearly. Her family settled in Warner Robins, Ga. where she met and eventually married her childhood sweetheart, Donald Wayne Moneyhan. They loved each other, and built a life together through their fifty four years of marriage. She completed her education at Jacksonville University and after briefly serving as a teacher, began her career at Robins Air Force Base as a Contracting Support Specialist. She made several moves within the United States due to Don’s naval career, and eventually returned to settle in central Georgia with her husband and two daughters Amy Moneyhan Giles and Amanda Moneyhan Ruiz. After serving for 30 years, Marsha retired from Robins Air Force Base and began to enjoy her new role as the secretary of Park Memorial United Methodist Church. She excitedly became “Grammar” for four grandchildren. Across her life she loved reading, exploring history, traveling and listening to music.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Don; her children, Amy and Timothy Giles and Amanda and Ludvin Ruiz; her four grandchildren, Duane Ashley, Nathan, Katherine and Alexandra Ruiz; her aunt, Lena C. Bean; her brother, Donnie Holt; her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marsha is loved and will be missed.
