Obituary for Martha "Maw Maw" Rowe
Martha “Maw Maw” Pauline Wilson Rowe, 85, of Lizella, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. Graveside services to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Foskey Cemetery in Adrian, Georgia. Reverend Johnny Baggett and Minister Dwight Smith will officiate.
Mrs. Rowe was born on March 29, 1937 in Adrian, Georgia to the late George and Callie Wilson. She worked the majority of her life in retail and was last employed by S&S Cafeteria. In her free time she liked to fish, and play Bingo. She also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Rowe was an amazing cook, kept her recipes a secret. Above everything, she was the sweetest person you would ever meet and she loved her family dearly. She was by far her happiest when she was spending time with them. She was a loving mother, Maw Maw, sister, and aunt who will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Rowe was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years; Clyde Alton Rowe. Her son; David Rowe, daughter; Karen Watson, grandson; David Rowe as well as seven brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Her children; Margaret Dianne Puckett, and Allen Rowe (Fran). Grandchildren; Carlos Bloodworth (Wendy), Brian Puckett (Melanie), Amanda Saylor (Jeff), Laura Howard (Travis), Jason Rowe, Alexis Rowe, and Amy Watson. 14 great grandchildren, son in law; Aaron Watson and several nieces and nephews.
