Obituary for Michael Leon Railey

Michael Leon Railey, 63, of Macon, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, and was reunited with his loving wife, Teresa, who passed just four months prior. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the cemetery. Reverend John Irwin will officiate.
Mr. Railey was born on April 29, 1959, in Macon, to Roscoe and Betty Railey. He worked for over 22 years at Robins Air Force Base as a dispatcher before retiring. In his free time, he liked fishing, grilling, and the Atlanta Falcons. He also loved listening to music. Though Michael faced many challenges in life, he always put his family first. They were his first priority. He was an extremely selfless man who would do anything for anyone. He had a love for his wife that was unlike any other, they were true soulmates.
Mr. Railey was preceded in death by his mother; Betty Moss Railey and his wife of 35 years; Teresa Railey.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family. Children; Jennifer Smith (Leonard), Michael Railey, Stephen Railey and Stephanie Hatcher (Kerry). Father; Roscoe Railey. Grandchildren; Keirstyn Smith, Cody Smith, Kylie Smith, Cullen Smith, Emily Railey, Jackson Hatcher, Wyatt Hatcher and Charlie Hatcher. Great grandson; Griffin. Sister; Jean Malcom (Ronnie) and Brother; Andy Railey (Beth).
