Mrs. Green was born on August 11, 1939 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late William and Mary Register. At the young age of 16, she met and married the love of her life, Bobby and they later moved to Macon, where they built a wonderful life together. She worked all her life as a homemaker, building a strong Christian home for her four children. Mrs. Green was the prime example of a Godly woman, becoming a founding member of Gateway Fellowship Church. She was the backbone of the church, and the woman whom everyone would turn to when they needed prayer or spiritual guidance. In her free time, she loved to shop, eat at Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel and laughing. She was by far her happiest when she was spending time with her family; they were the light of her life.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband of 61 years, Bobby Gene Green. One daughter; Cynthia Teresa Green, seven brothers and one sister.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving children; Barry Alan Green, Donna Green Collins (Mike) and Alicia Green Lancaster (Dallas). Grandchildren; Brittany Green Moring (David), Dr. Amanda Paige Lancaster, and Caleb Andrew Lancaster, as well as her best friend; Betty Youman, who was like a sister to her.
