Obituary for Nellie Allen Fleming
Nellie Allen Fleming, 98, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd., Macon, Georgia, 31216. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Hollis officiating.
Mrs. Fleming was born in Monticello, Georgia, and was the daughter of the late James Thomas Hencley, Sr. and Alma Louise Holloway Hencley. She was the widow of Hamer Lester Fleming. She was preceded in death by her siblings, James T. Hencley, Mary Lucille Bedenbaugh, and William Franklin Hencley, and by her son, Gerald “Jerry” Nathaniel McDaniel.
She is survived by her children, Robert W. Tarpley of Ocala, Florida, Virgil D. Allen and his wife Betty of Clarksville, Virginia, and Ann Cramer of Townsville, North Carolina; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nellie Hencley of Byron, Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
