Norma Jean Shed Dumas was born to the late Juanita Holloway Shed and Miles Bobby Shed on November 6 1946
Jean Married the love of her life, Neadham (Ned) Dumas March 9th 1965.
She lost him on March 8th 2019 when beloved husband, Daddy and Papa passed away. She has three dearly-loved sisters:The late Myra Shed Brady AKA :TinyMarie Shed Wilson (husband David)Betty Shed Westbrook (late husband Bill) And their only brother ,the dearly loved Fred Shed.Jean and Ned only have one son, Bobby Dumas born to them on January 1st 1966.They also gained a daughter when Bobby Married Tracy Giddens Dumas on May 18th 1984.
Jean and Ned considered Tracy to be very much their own daughter. The event that Jean and Ned considered to be The Greatest In their LifeIs March 31 2008 that is the day that their only grandchild was bornDakota Dumas. As Jean would often say, Dakota is my heart. Dakota calls her his Nan Nan.Jean also had a niece that she considered to be her daughter as well.Logan Molton. She spent the majority of her childhood with Jean and affectionately calls Jean HER Nene
Logan,Kenadie and Jay have a special place in the heart of the Dumas family.
Jean has many nieces and nephews that are very special to her, Kim ,Lily , Tyler ,Katie ,Casey ,Savannah, Delaney and many more .But two nephews are the brothers Bobby would have never had.Tommy(wife Stacey) Conley and Johnathan Conley(wife Andrea) You both also hold a special place in our hearts.Jean worked at Roy G's drug store on Cherry Street from many years afterwards she worked at Shakey's Pizza Parlor for many more years and then finally at the Dollar Tree as a stockroom manager.
Jean was a very kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she very much loved to spoil her son Bobby and her grandson Dakota. But she loved and cared for everyone. One of her Hobbies was crocheting blankets for others. She loved sitting on the porch swing with Dakota when it rained and sang songs to him.
She loved to hear him play what he learned on the piano. She would always ask how his day went at school and what grade he made on his spelling test. She loved to cook the family food and would plan Thanksgiving dinners months in advance. She loved calling Tracy over in having long late-night conversations with her. She loved all the Christmas celebrations and putting up Christmas lights in the front yard. And she loves shopping at the dollar store. Jean AKA my Honey, my Mama, my Nan-Nan, my Nene. Will surely be missed more than any words can describe. Our only comfort is the Blessed Hope of the resurrection of Life that Jesus Christ promised in His word. Even so, come quickly Lord.
