Obituary for Peggy Brown

Peggy Taylor Brown, 70, of Macon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. The family will greet friends on Sunday, October 2, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown was born on April 15, 1952, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Lawrence E. Taylor and Mrs. Mildred Carpenter Taylor. She was a member of Stone Creek Baptist Church in Dry Branch. A woman of strong faith, Mrs. Brown, put all her trust in her savior, Jesus Christ, that she in turn passed down to her children. She served many years as the marketing director for Olympia Skate Centers, followed by lengthy careers with both, YKK and Brown and Williamson. She was an avid fan of the University of Georgia and the Georgia Bulldogs. In her free time, she loved arts and crafts, especially quilting, as well as reading and listening to music. Mrs. Brown will be remembered as a wonderful storyteller. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her sister, Pam Taylor; brother, Arthur Taylor; and son-in-law, Gardner Rowson.

Left to cherish Mrs. Brown’s memory is her husband, Calvin E. Brown; daughter, Tiffany Rowson; son, Todd Baker (Marcia); grandchildren, Hayes Arnold and Asby Rowson; and several nieces and nephews.
