Obituary for Prentiss Kendall Hamlin Sr.
Prentiss Kendall Hamlin, Sr., 69, of Byron, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Darryl McClary officiating.
Mr. Hamlin was born on June 9, 1951 in Macon, to Henry and Dorothy Hamlin. He worked most of his life as a Tire Technician and retired from Brad Ragan Tire. In his free time, he loved watching old reruns, the Atlanta Braves and listening to Charley Pride.
Mr. Hamlin was preceded in death by his loving wife; Linda McCall Hamlin, his father; Henry Hamlin, son; Henry Thomas Hamlin and sister; Laverne Heath.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family. His mother; Dorothy Tucker Hamlin. Children; Prentiss Kendall Hamlin, Jr. (Serina), Matthew Scott Hamlin (Heather), Michael Keith Hamlin and Cynthia Karen Swafford (Shawn). Eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brother; Wayne Hamlin (Joyce) as well as several nieces and nephews.
