Sandra “Sandy” Dean Wild Evans, 81, of Lizella, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 17 at 3pm at Martha Bowman Church. The family will be available afterwards to visit. Masks and social distancing will be observed.

Sandy was born on December 7, 1939, in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Roy J. Wild and Lydia Dean Lambright Wild. Shortly after graduating nursing school, she married her husband Harry in St. Mary’s, Georgia. She worked at Macon Hospital in Labor and Delivery and later for Dr. Edmund Brannen. She was a member of Ruth Friendship Sunday School class at Pine Forest Baptist. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sue.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harry Louis Evans; children, Kathy Elizabeth Barnes (Gregory Lee), Roy Michael Evans, Lydia Sue Sutherland (Smokey); grandchildren, Daniel Lee Barnes (Brittany), Victoria An Jie Sutherland; brother-in-law Delmar “Pete” Evans (Sue); other cousins, nephews and a niece.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sandy’s honor to: St. Andrews Montessori School Building Fund, 501 Bass Rd. Macon, GA. 31210.
