Obituary for Shara Michele Genthner

Shara Michele Genthner, 55, of Macon, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 5, 2021. A private service for family only will be held in Andersonville National Cemetery, where Shara will be laid to rest with military honors. For family and friends not able to attend, services will be streamed live on Facebook at FairHaven Funeral Home Macon and will be posted Wednesday afternoon.

Shara was born on June 22, 1965 in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Shara grew up in a loving, yet proud military family. At a young age she followed in her father’s footsteps and joined the Armed Forces. Shara proudly served in the United States Army until she was injured and lead to her discharge. She was an adventurous free spirit and loved to travel. It would be nothing for her to pick up and visit wherever her heart lead her. She loved animals especially her dog. In her free time, Shara liked to read, and watch T.V.

Shara was preceded in death by her father; Howard Kenneth Genthner, her daughter; Nikki Graves, her brother; Michael Genthner and sister; Donna Maria Genthner.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family; Her mother; Dorothy Anne Genthner. Siblings; Judith Samuels (Lee), Robin Simmons (Phil), Scott Genthner (Sherry), Kenniane Tull (John), several nieces, nephews, and special friend; Mike Hudson
