Obituary for Thomas Allen Hulett
Thomas Allen Hulett, 86, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 17, 2023. A graveside service to honor his life will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Daddy was a simple man, the family asks that you come as you are. If you knew Pop, he wore a t shirt and jeans.
Mr. Hulett was born in McRae, Georgia on February 6, 1937, to the late Mr. Thomas Jackson Hulett and Mrs. Mary Margaret Kitchens. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1956, where he was an avid player for the Poets baseball and basketball teams. He then went on to play for the Semi-pro Johnson Chicks and the Shirlington Peaches. Mr. Thomas was the four-time Middle Georgia handball champion and very active in the Midget Football Association. Mr. Thomas was the dedicated business owner of Dixie Plumbing Supply and original owner of Whiskey River. Above all, his family was the light of his life. He adored watching and coaching his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his free time you could find him on his tractor, fishing or enjoying the outdoors. He was the patriarch of his family and will be missed dearly.
Mr. Hulett was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Rickman.
Left to carry on his legacy is his family, Mr. Hulett’s wife of 66 years, Mrs. Eugenia Claire Ard Hulett; children, Randy Jay Hulett (Sherry), Ricky Allen Hulett (Terri) and Terri Hulett Gilstrap (Chris); grandchildren, Kaci Hulett Robinson (Billy), Katie Hulett Harrison (Jonathan), Kassidy Claire Hulett, Thomas Hunter Graham (Shayna) and Samantha Graham Childs (Corey); great grandchildren, Cameron Graham, Liam Robinson, Lane Robinson, Gracelynn Graham, Thomas Hudson Graham, Ellie Fuller and Emilynn Childs.
