Obituary for Billy Rowland

William “Billy” Floyd Rowland, 73, passed away peacefully at his residence with his loving family by his side. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Pastor Deborah Wallace officiating. Immediately following the service, Billy will be laid to rest in New Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
Billy was born on April 22, 1949 in Macon, to the late William Rowland and Marybelle Passmore. He worked at Central Georgia Garage Doors and a Garage Door Installer. In his free time, he loved to Fish, and watch the Atlanta Braves and Mercer Bears. He loved his family dearly, and was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents as well as his daughters Robin Fincher and Tammy Vaughn as well as his sister; Charlene Moody.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family. His wife; Glenda Rowland. Children; Samantha Cummings (Larry), London Kinchen (Scott), Traci Courson (Johnny) and Lin Oliver (Brenda). 27 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren. Sister; Gwendolyn Davis and son in law; Brian Vaughn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Billy’s honor to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
