Obituary for William Lonnie Rutledge

William Lonnie Rutledge, Jr., 53, of Warner Robins, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 10:00- 11:00 at Houston Road Church. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will begin at 11:00 a.m. and Pastor Billy Flowers will officiate. Immediately following the service, Lon will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Lon was born on January 17, 1969 in Macon to William Lonnie Rutledge, Sr. and Dianne Roberson Rutledge. At a young age, he married the love of his life Sheila and together they built a wonderful life together. In his earlier years, he worked as a car salesman for Five Star. He later retired from the family business, Butcher Boy Meats. He was a member of Houston Road Church. His family was the light of his life, especially his granddaughter. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him.
Lon was preceded in death by his father; William Lonnie Rutledge, Sr., mother in law; Sharon Young, father in law; Sammie Lee Young, and Sister in law; Donna Young Howard.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife; Sheila Young Rutledge. Children; Kaleigh Pounds (Stefan), and William Rutledge III ( Claire Denise). Granddaughter; Paisley Jade Pounds. Mother; Dianne Roberson Rutledge. Brothers; Henry Rutledge (Vicki) and Tammy Connell (Clay). Sister in law; Melissa Jones (Greg), Brother in law; Bernard Howard, as well as several nieces and nephews.
