Wilmer Roman Gabriel, 92, of Gray, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, Macon. Wayne Grier will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation from 2:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be on Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Georgia Memorial Veteran Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ga.
Born in Winterville, Georgia, he was the son of the late James and Zue Holbrook Gabriel. He was the husband of the late Bessie Gordon Gabriel. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Gabriel, and grandson, Tim McCall.
Mr. Gabriel was a retired machinist with Armstrong World Industries. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #5 and achieved 32nd degree and was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies. Mr. Gabriel was a Korean War veteran serving in US Army and was a member of the VFW and DAV.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Gabriel(Janice); grandchildren, Chris Gabriel(Lisa), Calib Gabriel; great grandchildren, Carleigh Gabriel(Josh Copeland) and Christopher Gabriel.
