Obituary for William Robert "Bob" Cater
William Robert “Bob” Cater, 60, of Macon, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Lizella Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Minton officiating. The family will have a time of visitation on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon.
Bob was a true outdoorsman; he loved fishing, camping, and the mountains. He loved working with his hands as well as woodworking. Bob was adventurous and proved this through his love of rollercoasters and ziplines. He was an extremely hard worker, and provided for his family all his life. Bob proudly owned his own company for the last four years, Bob Cater HVAC Services. Bob and his wife Sharon, were loyal, faithful members of Lizella Baptist Church. He was truly his happiest when he was with his family, which included his cats; they were his pride and joy.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Randall Cater and Margaret Jones.
Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy is his loving family. His wife of 40 years, Sharon Taylor Cater. His son; Robbie Cater. Six siblings: Brenda Dodge (Jim), Randy Cater (Linda), Clay Jones (Katie), Beth Lange (Mike),Les Jones (Donna), and Lillian Reaves (Jason). Sister-in-laws; Patsy Pate (Wayne) and Martha Clark.As well many nieces and nephews. Bobs sweet smile, gentle giving spirit, and witty sense of humor, will be missed by all who knew him.
