Roy Eugene Davis, 79, of Macon September 12, 1938 - February 1, 2018.
Dear Daddy,
Today you went to Heaven to be with Mom and we’re glad you are back together. We know how much you missed her and the longing had been unbearable. You will be missed, as she is, everyday. We find comfort in knowing you are not suffering anymore and free from the body that kept you captive in nursing care. Our hearts are broken but we find peace in knowing you are FREE.
Daddy was an icon of the community. He owned and opened Davis Service Center and U-HAUL for 44 years and helped anyone in need. No one was ever turned away. He paid out of pocket for the women needing to get out of abusive situations. He was a friend for all. He loved his Electra Glide, his planes, his boats and life. He loved his family most and his children that could do no wrong. We love you Daddy. You were a self-made man. You are the wind beneath our wings.
Left to survive in your loving memory: a daughter; Candice Cayne Merritt, a son; Horace Lee Hal Davis, sister-in-law Patricia and brother-in-law Kip; and the families special son Chris, wonderful Grandchildren: Aston and Alex Davis, as well as many other family members. We love you Daddy and will miss you everyday.
A private memorial will be held in the Spring . Friends and family will be notified at a later date.
