Obituary for Edward Thomas Yaughn
Edward Thomas Yaughn, 79, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, April 9, 2017. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Open Bible Tabernacle Baptist Church. The Reverends Herbert Williams and Bobby Hamlin will officiate. Immediately following the service Edward will be laid to rest in the Church Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon.
Born on June 10, 1937, Edward was the son of the late Edro and Ellen Yaughn. He was the owner and operator of Industrial Truck Service, and was a Mechanic by trade. Edward was extremely active in his church, Open Bible Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he was the chairman of The Board of Deacons. He was also involved in the Adult Sunday School Class and the New Grace Singing Group.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Yaughn.
The left to cherish his memory is his adoring wife, Helen Patricia Yaughn. Two sons: Michael Yaughn (Amy) and Gregg Yaughn (Lynda). Five grandchildren: Olivia, Evan, Stuart, Daniel, and Rachel as well as one sister; Bernice Walker (Mac).
