Obituary for Virginia Marie Sutton (Walker)
Virginia Marie Walker Sutton, 81, of Lizella went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully Wednesday, April 12, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Open Bible Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Reverends Herbert Williams and Jim Lane officiating. Burial will be immediately following in the church cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends Tuesday, April 13, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at FairHaven funeral home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon.
Born in Crawford County, Georgia to the late Grief and Rose Ann Yaughn Walker, Mrs. Sutton was the owner and operator of Suttons Store. She was an extremely active member of Open Bible Tabernacle Baptist Church and was known for organizing meals and helping in any way around the church that she was able to. Mrs. Sutton had a compassionate heart and at one time was a sitter for Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Carlton C. Sutton, grandson; Stephen Elliott and great-grandson; Gavin Sutton.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children; David Sutton (Darcy), Del Sutton Floyd (Herman), and Denise Sutton. Seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one sister; Margaret Tucker.
